Justin Dart, father of the ADA, marching for civil rights with other people with disabilities.
The purpose of this page is to provide historic insight into the struggles of people with disabilities from a by-gone era. Because of this past segregation and discrimination it became necessary to introduce legislation such as the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 and the 1990 Americans with Disabilities Act.
